Healthcare Interpreter Certification Training

A complete 44 hour training program that satisfies the CCHI and NBCMI prerequisite training requirement for certification eligibility. The program covers interpreter ethics and standards of practice, modes of interpreting, managing the interpreted medical encounter, cultural responsiveness, and an introduction to medical terminology and the U.S. healthcare system. It is delivered in 11 self paced modules and is designed for interpreters who have not yet completed an approved training course and need to meet this requirement before applying for CoreCHI certification.

This is intended to be taken after completing training and domain specific review, as a final readiness check.
